150 Days ... ...
and The Adventure will be over!
A strange introduction but true nonetheless. If all goes to plan, in 150 days we will have completed our 600 mile bike ride from Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, England to Gottingen, Cheltenham's twin town in Central Germany.
Over the next 150 days we will be using this site to provide updates on our progress:
- Planning and preparation
- Fitness training - on the bikes, in the fitness suite, in the swimming pool and, of course, the gruelling sessions with the Personal Trainer
- Selecting and Purchasing the necessary kit
- Setting the route
- Shortlisting campsites - oh yes - we did say it was an Adventure!
At the end of the 150 days we will have:
- Cycled over 600 miles across 5 countries
- Spent approximately 50 hours in the saddle (not counting training rides)
- Raised £600 towards tackling youth homelessness
Please check back often for updates. We will be offering opportunities for individuals and local businesses to hop on board and get involved in a variety of ways.
And as total novices to long-distance cycling, we will be looking for advice, recommendations and help.
